This is probably of no interest to anyone but me. A while ago I wrote a fic called "Summer Time" and I had some issues with one chapter. I happened to re-read it recently and hated it and so I decided to have another go.

And of course the new chapter is too long for LJ so I can't edit the old post . So I'll post the new one here and go back and link it in.

The storyline is still the same so you don't need to bother reading. It's just the old one bugged me.

Just dropped by to *wave* wish all my friends at LJ a very happy and healthy festive season.

Sorry I haven't been around much of late but as some of you would know, hubby hasn't been too well. Still, we've decided to try to keep to our original plan and head to the beach. If he gets sick then we'll just have to head back home to hospital. I don't think that he likes the idea of having surgery at Christmas. Fingers crossed that he gets through the holidays okay.

I'll look forward to catching back up with things in the new year.

I'm back from holidays. Had a great time. But on going through the mail, I found that I've been called up for jury service.

I've never done it before. Has anyone else? And if so, then what was it like?

Is it wrong how much I enjoyed reading this? Seems like the writer is not a big fan of Josh's.

Looks like he's using Serena and Dan as his Ryan and Marissa. The couple that he intends to use to tease viewers with by never letting them be happy. It's doubtful that they have any chance of ending up together. What is it S2? And already he's repeating himself over and over from what the ending comments indicate.

Makes you wonder if Gossip Girl has 4 seasons in it. Perhaps it will "burn out" as Josh indicated was always on the cards for the OC. That comment always grated with me. I think that it was his way of trying to justify the fact that he'd messed up. Looks like he might need to dust it off and bring it out again.

I know that I shouldn't enjoy seeing someone give a not-so-flattering review - but I can't help it.

I still haven't forgiven him.

Okay, so I'm a sports junkie that's in serious withdrawal.

The feats of the athletes over the last couple of weeks have been amazing. They just keep getting better and better.

Michael Phelps - Usain Bolt - Their performances were mind-boggling!!!

But I'd like to take a moment to show my pride and appreciation of the athletes from my own country. We (Australia) came 6th on the medals table (with 46) behind China(100), United States(110), Russia(72), Britain(47) and Germany(41).

For a country of 21 million that's not bad. In fact, it's bloody good. On a popluation basis, China would have needed 2700 medals to equal us, the US would have needed 660 , Russia 308, Great Britain about 130 and Germany 175.

Well done to them all and indeed to the athletes from all over the world.

Thank goodness for the LAPD news to help get my mind of the fact that there's still four years to London. It can't come around fast enough for me.
